Snagged a Lumberjack Pillar Drill on Amazon for a particular task, so I was looking to keep costs down. Fantastic deal, really sturdy build, simple to assemble, and works like a charm.

Tired of constantly replacing drill bits, I figured it was high time to invest in a bench grinder instead of messing around with those drill sharpening gadgets. I wanted to do it right, so I checked out some local shops, but honestly, I wasn't too impressed, especially after reading the reviews. There were some really cheap bench grinders out there with weak motors (150 watts) and narrow grind wheels. According to the reviews, if you put any pressure on those small wheels, the machine could slow down to almost a stop. So, I hit the internet and discovered Lumberjack tools. Their most affordable bench grinder was around sixty pounds, featuring six-inch grind wheels that were much wider and more practical. It looked solid, and when it arrived—free and the next day, no less—I was pleased. After a bit of assembly and securing it to my workbench, it was good to go. The wheels ran smoothly without any wobble or vibration. Now, all that's left is for me to practice sharpening my dull drill bits. I reckon I'll be sticking with this company for future machine buys and won't be looking elsewhere.

I placed an order for a kit, and it showed up the following day.

I bought a product from them, and it took over a week to arrive. I reached out to find out what was up with the delay. Turns out, since I changed my address, they were hesitant to send the item because of a mismatch. The salesperson was downright rude and showed no interest in fixing the issue. I requested a refund. Thanks to them, my work got held up. Even if Lumberjack had better offers than others, I wouldn't think about doing business with them again. I strongly recommend steering clear of this company.

Suggestion: Maybe you should check your systems before taking people's cash and making them wait? Just taking the money could be seen as money laundering. By the way, the bank's security checks went through just fine. Looks like you have better fraud detection than some of the top banks in the UK.

I ordered a planer thicknesser, but after running some timber through it, I found some inconsistencies. I reached out to Lumberjack, and they were pretty decent about arranging to pick up my machine and send me a new one. Since my experience seemed alright, I went ahead and ordered a table saw too. However, when the replacement planer arrived, I quickly noticed it had the same problem as the first one. I got back in touch with Lumberjack, but after a few days of silence, I received a brief email stating they wouldn’t send me another one since that was my second. Now, I’m stuck having to look for another machine while I’m already behind on work because of these issues. It’s really frustrating. This machine would have been just what I needed if it weren’t for the defect.

I've used Ryobi and Dewalt, and now I'm giving Lumberjack a shot. So far, it's been pretty solid!

The site was easy to navigate, I located the blades in no time, and they arrived in just two days—couldn't ask for more. Honestly, I messed up needing those blades; I was trying to re-thicken some decking boards and my machine discovered a screw I overlooked. :o)
